This beautiful, lovingly restored town house in the middle of Marbella’s old town probably stems from the end of the 19th century. The Swedish owners, Kjell and Irene , have turned this house into a gem of a boutique hotel, their love for detail and feeling for ambience is obvious throughout the entire building.

Walking in through the glass doors you are welcomed by the clear white and cream colours of the walls. Rustic Spanish chairs and desks, elegant statues with candelabras and white marble floors provide the typical modern feel. Stucco mouldings based on Granada’s Alhambra decorate arches and wall panels, and the sunlight streams in through the skylight via the enclosed courtyard. The stairs to the rooms lead off from this patio which is so typical of Spanish town houses.

There is an elegant bar on the ground floor which is also where the buffet breakfast is served. You can either eat here or take your breakfast up to the top floor and take a seat on the open terrace, enjoying the view over the old town whilst eating. This terrace has built in stucco sofas, teak chairs, tables, and 2 sun beds. There is even an outdoor shower if you need cooling down after taking a sunbath! Large potted plants and sun shades add a typically Spanish flair making the terrace a beautiful place to chill during the day or night.

The sunlit staircase with a white wrought iron balustrade takes you up to the rooms. Every room has a different deco with varying colour schemes be it the lamps, the headboards, the furniture, or even the marble floors; every room has been put together with great love for detail and atmosphere. Each has an en-suite bathroom with either a bath or walk-in shower and some have a French balcony or a little terrace.

The rooms all have TV and WiFi is available free of charge throughout the hotel. There is a hair dryer in the bathrooms and an air conditioning / heating system ensure you never feel uncomfortable no matter what time of the year you choose to stay.

There is a courtesy bar on the top floor and guests are trusted to serve themselves and write down their consumption in the book provided in order to pay upon departure. This is ideal if you come back late at night and wish to enjoy a few moments of intimate privacy on the terrace overlooking night time Marbella.
