Tourist Office Monday - Saturday 10am - 2pm / 5pm - 8pm Sundays when season starts GPS: N36.84092º / W5.38999º
In truth this is not really a tourist office and you might get little or no information. Located next to the church on the way to the castle, you can drive all the way up there and park in the square or continue up the road towards the castle.

Nestled in the folds of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park with the wide blue expanse of a reservoir at its feet lies the white village of Zahara de la Sierra. Zahara boasts a castle, which is well worth visiting, built high on a rocky peak, and scattered below it are the whitewashed houses. There are many quaint bars and restaurants serving typical Spanish food and the small town square in front of the Church of Santa Maria de la Meza is the ideal place to sit and watch the World pass by. On the lower road leading to Grazalema is a gem of a restaurant called Al Lago serving contemporary Spanish food, which has a small hotel beautiful, views across the reservoir. Another point of interest is the Watch Tower "Torre del Homenaje" dates back to the 16th century and was partly reformed in 1957. The village itself was originally Moorish, hence it"™s name (streets lined with orange trees) but as of 1407 was controlled by the Christians although it was conquered by the Muslims in 1481 but then went back to the Christians in 1483. The reservoir is relatively new and provides an option of water sports and swimming, which didn"™t exist 10 years ago.
