Manuel and his crew worked for three months on this unique Chinese junk to get it ready for the season. Built in 1972 in Hong Kong, it had travelled a lot and finally ended up in Benalmádena port where you now have the opportunity to board it in order to enjoy a quiet excursion out on sea.
Due to its deck having a large table to sit around and very comfortable seating, it is excellent for older people who might be a little intimidated by a yacht or large crowds. The boat was constructed for shallow waters and not the open sea and although the walkway is broad, there are many gaps in the balustrade, so make sure you know where to hold on to.

The excursion officially lasts one hour and fifteen minutes in winter (October - March) and during the summer months it lasts up to two hours, seeing as they stop so that you can swim in the sea. If you are lucky you might even get to see some dolphins!!!
A free drink is included in the trip and of course jackets etc. are provided if needed. All safety appliances are also available. Depending on the weather, the sails will be raised; otherwise the junk runs on a motor and making it a pleasant trip with classical music as a background.. The crew is a mixture of Argentinean, Irish and Spanish, so you will have a lot of fun. What fascinates me personally most of all is the peace and quiet on the open sea, the fresh smells of the salty air and the hypnotic effect the glittering water has. It is simply a great way to relax (just do not forget to put on sun screen)
