House of the Moorish King Tel: 95 218 7200 Price: 4€ Facts: This building dates back to the 18th century and its actual appearance today was influenced in the 1920's by the Duchesse of Parcent. It bears a feature of the Moorish king, probably Abolemik, on a painted tile on its facade. The house is currently closed (2006), but it has beautiful gardens and a minetunnel that can be visited. The mine constructed by Abolemik, has several rooms which were used for hiding, during the beginning of the 13th century.

Mondragón Palace (Museum of the town) Tel: 95 287 8450 Price: 2€ adultos, 1€ groups, senior citizens, students Facts: It is used as a cultural centre today, but you can visit the lovely patio and garden area. It used to be home to the Moorish king Abolemik, son of the emperor of Fez, who was king of Ronda and Algeciras in the 14th century. Afterwards it was the residencial palace of the last arab governor Hamed el Zegri. Captain Mondragón, the personal guard of king Fernando, used to live here in 1491. The king himself resided here in 1501.

House of Don Juan Bosco Tel: 95 287 1683 Calle Tenorio 20 Price: 1.20€ adults Facts: From the entrance you can see the impressive massive wood fireplace. Later, visit the gardens, which have a special feature fountain with frogs made of porcelaine surrounding it. There are some great views over to the Tajo.
