This pretty 5-room hotel is situated in the centre of Gaucín facing south, with marvellous views towards Gibraltar and Africa and overlooking a luscious green landscape. Each room is very spacious and has its own personal charm. Each room has been given an individual name, the explanation of which you can look up in the hotel book. Each bathroom has a jacuzzi. The smallest room is under the roof and only has a shower. However, the advantage of this room is that it has direct access to the communal terrace, where you can sunbathe and enjoy the rural views, listening to the donkeys, roosters and birds. Staying at La Fructuosa is like being at home. You will be given a key for the main door and can come and go as you please. There is a living room on the top floor with a library and books about Gaucín. You can spend hours here reading a book in peace and quiet. In the morning, an extensive breakfast buffet is prepared in the pretty restaurant by the owners .

This building is slightly more than 150 years old and since the beginning of the 20th century was a popular hostal called "The Spaniard". A stable, a rudimentary lavatory and a winepress were found after excavations in the basement of the building. Today the owners, Jesus and Luis, have converted it into a pretty restaurant with a lot of charm. The old winepress is still existent. If you would like to take advantage of having dinner here, you will need to book a table in advance. In summer the food is served on the terrace overlooking the sea under the vines.
