Jardines del murillo
This park connects the district of Santa Cruz district with the Parque de Santa Maria district and lies at the end of barrio St. Cruz, inviting one for a stroll towards the Parque de Maria Luisa. Once part of the Alcazar gardens ,it was used as fruit and vegetable garden. It was dedicated to the city in 1911

This used to be a hospice for retired priests. Nowadays it is a museum of contemporary art. The patio is beautiful and worth a visit. It has a sunken fountain surrounded by an arcade of marble columns with stunning tile work. The church in the hospital is worth seeing too.

Facts : In 1785, Carlo III collectedall Spanish documents with regards to the Indies. There are letters from Cristopher Columbus, Cortes, Cervantes and even George Washington (Americas first president) on dsplay. The exhibition changes frequently.
